Horse Thank You Card

Good Morning Crafters,

I hope you are having a fantastic Monday so far!! : ) This morning I'm going to share a super cute card I made for my sister and Brother in Law. I used the  Christmas Ponies file to create this card. Hurry on over to Kadoodle Bug Designs website if you love this file because it is Retiring soon.

So, last week I went on vacation to Branson Missouri with my Sister, her family and in laws. While we were there, we went and saw Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. It was our first time ever going to the Dixie Stampede, it was fun and entertaining. My niece Hailey was so excited to go because she just loves horses. She was going around telling the people working there that Dolly Parton was one of her favorite country singers. I had to giggle to myself because I'm positive she doesn't know any Dolly Parton songs. I could be wrong. I wanted to make a thank you card for my Sister and Brother in Law for taking me there with them. So I decided to make them a card with horses and thought this was the perfect file for what I wanted.

To make this project I used the steps below:

  • The green base was cut at 5.79 x 5.79
  • The brown base was cut at 5.48 x 5.48
  • The cream base was cut at 5.19 x 5.19
  • I water colored the background so it looked like they were outside.
  • Then cut out and stamped some light brown pieces with a woodgrain stamp to give it an authentic wood look. The bottom wood strips were cut using the same Christmas Ponies file, I just made the pieces different sizes.
  • Then I pieced it all together to look like a barn stall.
  • And I cut out an arch in the same shade. Then stamped and inked it like the bottom part.
  • The brown horse was cut at 2.48 x 2.11
  • The pale horse  was cut at 2.28 X 3.33
  • The flowers and the Thanks sentiment were cut using some files in my Cricut Design Space.

Below is a complete list of supplies and materials used to complete this project:

Paper Piecing
KaDoodle Bug File:  Christmas Ponies
Cardstock: Core'dinations from JoAnn's and Recollections from Michael's.

Pugs N Kisses Magnetic Photo Frame

Good Evening Everyone,

I hope you guys are having a great night so far!! I'm going to share some cute magnetic photo frames I made using the adorable file by Kadoodle Bug Designs called Pugs N Kisses .

My nieces Grandpa is currently in Texas undergoing chemo treatments so, I thought they would enjoy some happy mail. So I created a couple of magnetic photo frames for them to put on their fridge. I made a couple as reference for my nieces to look at, so they know how it will turn out. I did ink their pieces to give it definition and that pop. In the end, both had me help them glue down the pieces. They did have fun chalking the cheeks and putting the highlights in the eyes and on the ears. They also went crazy with the glitter pen. And my little niece Brooklyn wanted two hair bows on her doggies ears. I thought it was perfect cause she wears pigtails all the time too.

To make this project I used the steps below:

  • The brown base was cut at 6.25 x 4.62.
  • The pink frame is cut at 6.25 x 4.62 and the inside cut out is 5.41 x 4 in.
  • Then glued the base to some foam and added magnets to the back of the foam.
  • On the pink frame I used the silhouette paw prints and stamped brown on some and embossed gold and black on my nieces. Then attached the frame to the base.
  • Then used foam adhesive tape and popped up title, the dog, and the kisses. On the parts that are inside the brown area, where you would put the photo I did not put adhesive on that. That way the photo will slide right under the foam that I used to pop it up.
  • Standing Pug is cut at 2.37 x 3.65
  • Pug with heart is cut at 2.57 x 3.18
  • Pugs N Kisses title is cut at 2.91 x 1.33
  • Chocolate Kisses are cut at 1.86 x 1.77
  • To finish the card off I added some Wink of Stella clear glitter and added white highlights with a gel pen.

Below is a complete list of supplies and materials used to complete this project:

Paper Piecing
KaDoodle Bug File: Pugs N Kisses
Cardstock: Core'dinations from JoAnns
Colorbox Chalk Cat's Eyes Ink: Dark Peony, Frost White, Brown, Black and Silver.
& Stampabilities Bubblegum Pink, Dark Pink, Sable, and Light Blue
Stampin up: Pink chalk for the cheeks.
Adhesive: Atg Gun, Zig 2 way glue, foam adhesive, & hot glue.
Stamp Set: TPC Studio-Pet Silhouette for paw print on frame.
Stampin Up: Black and Gold embossing powders.
White Jelly Roll Pen

Happy Birthday Shaker Card!!

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are having a great day!! Today I want to show you this cute birthday shaker card I made using the file Birthday Slushy. Last week, Kadoodle Bug Designs turned 6 years old. That's pretty exciting, so I thought today I'd share a shaker birthday card with you guys. This card was made with a current freebie called Birthday Slushy!! If you haven't picked up this adorable penguin yet hurry on over to the website because the freebie might change later on today.

To make this project I used the steps below:

  • The blue base was cut at 4.625 x 6.25 and I inked the edges in blue.
  • The light pink pattern paper was cut at 4.17 x 5.65. I stamped the birthday sentiment on this sheet.
  • I made two dark pink frames cut at 4.19 x 5.67 and then I cut a smaller square in the middle to make a frame. Then I used Colorbox Cat's Eye Chalk ink in Dark Peony along the edges of the frame.
  • The acetate is cut at 4.19 x 5.67. I attached this to one of the pink frames with the red sticky tape. On the other pink frame I added some foam tape to pop it up for the microbeads to stay inside.
  • Then I used red sticky tape and attached that frame to the light pink polka dot paper.
  • Next, I put in the little multicolor micro beads and then attached the top part of the frame to the bottom section.
  • I made 4 balloons measuring at 1.28 x 1.60 and inked them up. Then attached a string to the bottoms of the balloons and made a bow around the bottom.
  • Last, I worked on the Birthday Slushy paper piecing which is cut at 1.94 x 3.74. I decided to make the penguin purple because I thought it'd go well with the other colors I was using.
  • To finish the card off I added some Wink of Stella to the bottom purple part of the cupcake and I added it to the cupcake icing as well. Then I put some rhinestones on top of the bigger cupcake for the sprinkles. And added purple stickles to the sprinkles on the icing on the penguins head and on the purple stripes on the candle.

St. Patricks Day Owl gift card holder and gift tag!!

Hey Deer Friends,

So last week, I became a Design team member for Kadoodle Bug Designs. I just love their files, so I'm pretty excited to get creative with them. Today, I'm using the Cute Lucky Owls file from the Kadoodle Bug Designs. You can find that file here: Cute Lucky Owls

So today's projects are a coordinating St. Patrick's Day gift set with a tag and a gift card holder. The tag kind of turned out way bigger than I anticipated, but it's still so stinkin cute.

Owl Tag:
The tag measures at a little over 6 inches by a little over 3.5 inches.
I used a piece of pattern paper from JoAnn's. I  put some Wink of Stella on some of the lines to give it a blingy pop.
The owl measures at 4.63 x 3.13. I put some more Wink of Stella on the clover on his hat and the coins.
To finish it off I attached a ribbon to the top and popped the owl up on some dimensionals.

Owl Gift Card Holder:

The gift card holder measures at 4.5 x 3 inches.
I used the same pattern paper from JoAnn's and put Wink of Stella on the lines again.
Then I used a light green swiss dotted pattern paper as a belly band. The band is about 1 inch wide by 6.5 inches.
Then on top of the belly band I cut a dark green scallop circle and a white scalloped circle.
Dark Green scallop circle is 2.25 inches.
White scallop circle is 2.13 inches.
The owl measures at 2.06 x 1.56 inches.
To finish the belly band I just attached the scallop circles to the band. Then used dimensionals and popped the owl up.
I used Wink of Stella on the Shamrock and the bow.

I hope you enjoyed this project as much as I have. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have fun crafting!!

Have a Blessed Week!! : )

School project!

Hey Deer Friends,

I can't believe it's already March 1st, that means Spring is just around the corner. I don't know about you guys but I'm looking forward to Spring. My favorite time of year is Spring and Summer time. I just love going outside and viewing all God's wonderful creations, like sunsets, animals, birds and things like that. It  helps to inspire me to get creative. : )

So today I'd like to show a project my niece and I worked on last week. In her class, they had to come up with a design for a toy and then we had to make a model of the toy. She loves country music, especially Luke Bryan. So her toy she designed was a Country Music Boom Box.  So when I asked her about her project she told me there needed to be a car with Luke Bryan and another car with Carrie Underwood.
Materials to Create this Project:
Pink & Blue Beetle bug Car is cut from a Designs on Cloud 9 file. *This Company has retired this file*
"Carrie" & "Luke" are cut using Little Scraps of Heaven Little League
Guitars, music notes, & Microphones are cut in Cricut Design Space with the Slumber Party Cricut Cartridge
Stop Light is cut in Cricut Design Space with the Disney Cars Cricut Cartridge
Cardstock: Recollections & Core'dinations
String for Music Notes
Adhesive: Hot glue & Zig 2 way glue
Cardboard Box & Cardboard pieces for propping up cars
