Girly Makeup Scrapbook Page

Hey Deer Friends,

Good Evening, I hope you had a great week so far.  I don't know about you but I'm ready for Fall and the cooler temperatures. It's so hot and humid here!!!  I'm also looking forward to making some fall themed crafts. : )

The past week and I've been working on a Girly girl Scrapbook page. I've been watching my nieces this Summer and they love to dress up and put on makeup, so I wanted to make a makeup themed scrapbook page. The new file over at Kadoodle Bug Designs is perfect for this.  For this layout, I used a combination of files

I wanted the layout to look cutie and girly so I did it in several different pastel shades and included lots patterns of pink and purple. I  mixed in lots of shimmer with wink of stella, glitter and sparkly gems. I also wanted to add in a little doggie and make it look like she's dressing up and putting on makeup too. I added bows to the dogs ears, a pearl necklace and little purple nails to finish off the girly touch.
I hope you enjoyed this layout as much as I do!! I can't wait to show my nieces on Monday!! : )

Mrs Claus Christmas Card

Hey Deer Friends,

Good Evening, I hope you are having a fantastic weekend so far. I spent the morning going to yard sales with my Mom. We found some really good deals. : )

Yesterday, kicked off one week of Christmas in July Hallmark Movies. I just love watching all the Hallmark Christmas shows. I always look forward to seeing all the new ones in November and December.  So I figured it'd be cool to make a Christmas themed card, so we can think about cooler weather. I'm ready for it to cool down a bit!! How about you?? For this card, I used the file
Cutie Katoodles Mrs Claus Bear from Kadoodle Bug Designs.

I decided to mix some different Christmas pattern papers for this card. The red one I got in a little 6x6 stack last Black Friday. And the white one with Holly on it I got at a yard sale last summer for a nickel. I thought it fit well with her holly on the hat.

Just Keep Spinning Card

Hey Deer Friends,

Good Evening, I hope you have all had a great 4th of July weekend with your family and friends!! Last weekend, we went to a family gathering we always do in the Summer. We eat and then the guys always shoot clay pigeons. Then, I got to see Fireworks on Monday and Tuesday night.

Last week, I created a fidget spinner card from the new Just Keep Spinning File from Kadoodle Bug Designs.  I had a few requests for a tutorial on how to make the fidget actually spin, so I made another card with a picture tutorial. If I still didn't explain it well feel free to message me and I'll see if I can walk thru an explanation with you. : ) For this card, I used the new file
Just Keep Spinning from Kadoodle Bug Designs.

I just loved how Melissa made the title to me it looked kind of like graffiti, so I wanted the background to look kind of like spray paint. So to create the background I embossed it first with a light color powder. And then I colored over the top of all the embossing parts with the Green Spectrum Noir Marker.

I put together the card base, title, the bear, and parts of the fidget spinner. In this picture above you will see the supplies I used to create the spinner part. I used thin glue dots, zig 2 way glue pen, red sticky tape, 2 pennies, 2 washers cut from paper and then a foam adhesive circle cut to a tiny size.

For the fidget spinner, there needs to be a hole in the middle. I used Cricut Design Space to slice the hole in the center and then I used the same black circles in the cut file and made them a little bit smaller so the fit right over the hole. You will need two of those paper "Washers." In the picture above I glued one of those washers on the front of the spinner and I glued the second washer on the back of the fidget spinner.

Here's a pic of the washer in the back. I also used a black marker around the inside edges of the holes so that the orange wasn't peaking thru.
In the pic above I used the glue dots. I put a glue dot on the back of a penny and then I stuck that penny on the card base. And then I put a glue dot on the back of the blue round part and then you will stick the penny to the back of that.
Now, the front of this spinner has the blue part and the penny is attached to just the blue circle part with the star. The penny is not glued down to the spinner it's just sitting in front of the spinner where its suppose to go. This picture you will see the foam adhesive is in the hole part. The adhesive part will stick to the penny that is just laying in the front. And that will attach the two pieces together by just that foam adhesive circle or a dimensional if you have it.

In this picture, I added some red sticky tape to the blue nonsticky side of my foam adhesive circle. Now, if you have a some Dimensionals that would probably be best because both sides are sticky. But if you don't have any like me, then you will want the red sticky tape to match the foam as closely as you can get it. After that you just place that sticky part of the fidget spinner to the penny that is already attached to the card. Then press Down. You might have to spin it a few times so that it gets used to spinning.

I hope I explained it clearly but if not please don't hesitate to ask any questions. : )
