Monster Spray

Hey Deer Friends,

Good Evening, I hope you all had a great day. So some of you maybe wondering where I've been. Well the end of September and the beginning of October has been crazy busy for me. One of my nieces was home from school with me for a few days with strep throat. Then the next week the other one was home with me for a few days with Laryngitis and tonsillitis. In the midst of all that I planned and cooked my Dad's Birthday Dinner. I ended up having to buy him a store bought card because with my nieces being sick I just didn't have the opportunity to make one for him. Then I had Jury Duty the week after that. So it's been a busy October for me and I've been wanting to get crafty and today I finally got the opportunity. Yay!! : )

So tonight, I want to show a super cute Monster Spray. For this card, I used PG Little Monster Parts
 files from Kadoodle Bug Designs.

So do you have problems with pesky little Monsters roaming your house at night?!?! Never fear the Monster spray is here. HaHa!! When I first saw the little monster file, I thought the face on this monster looked like it was terrified. He seems like he's saying Ahhh like someone was going to get him. So I thought, oh I want to make a monster spray. I've saw pins on Pinterest and have always wanted to make one.

Below is a complete list of supplies and materials used to complete this project:

Witchy Owl Birthday Card

Hey Deer Friends,

Good Evening, I hope you are having a great fall so far!! It's been in the 90's where I'm at the past few days, but it is supposed to cool down to the 70's by the end of the week. Yay!! : )

So tonight, I want to show a Halloween themed Birthday card I made for my sister's birthday. For this card, I used Cutie Katoodles-Witchy OwlsHappy Halloween
 files from Kadoodle Bug Designs.

My sister loves the fall and loves all things Halloween, so I decided to make her a Halloween themed birthday card. I had lots of fun creating the background with ink. I made it lighter around the moon and then went darker as I went further out. I used the tree branch, moon and the bats from the Happy Halloween file. Then to finish the card off I added some touches of Wink of Stella on the hat, bat, and birthday sentiment.

Duck Hunting Birthday Card

Hey Deer Friends,

Good Evening, I hope you are having a great start to your week!! Fall is just right around the corner I can't believe its already mid September!!

My Brother In Laws birthday was last week, so I made him a birthday card. For this card, I used the file
Hunting 1 file from Kadoodle Bug Designs.

My brother in Law is a big duck hunter and loves all things duck related, so I figured I'd make a duck card. I inked the background with some shades of blue, purple, and pink to create a sunrise or sunset look.  Then I stamped some trees from the Lovely as a Tree Stampin Up set to create a background.  I also inked some of the water with the shades in the sky so it looked like it was reflecting on the water. To finish the card off I added some ducks flying in somewhat of a V in the sky and then added some cattails and water in the front. I hope this card inspires your creativity. : )

Below is a complete list of supplies and materials used to complete this project:
Paper Piecing.
KaDoodle Bug Files:  Hunting 1
Cattails: Disney Classics Cricut Cartridge
Birthday Sentiment: Gypsy Wanderings Cricut Cartridge

Fall Scrapbook Page

Hey Deer Friends,

Happy September!! Fall is right around the corner. I don't know what the weather is like where you're living, but the past few weeks our temps have been feeling like Fall. So with Fall being around the corner I decided to make a Fall scrapbook page.

To create this Fall layout, I used a combination of some files
Happy Fall Y'allWoodland FoxesColor Me Cute & Cutie Katoodles Sailor Doggie from Kadoodle Bug Designs.

As I mentioned last week, on my previous post that my sister thinks I'm a photographer. She had me take fall pictures of her family a few years ago and they all were wearing red and black plaid flannel shirts. So I wanted to make a Fall Scrapbook page that incorporated the fall colors and the colors that they were wearing in the photos.

To create this layout, I used the stump in the Woodland Fox files and then I put the Bears on the stump with their backs to each other. My nieces actually did a pose like this for me when I was taking pictures, so I wanted to recreate that with the bears. I used the bears from the Color me Cute file, but I put on them the outfit from the Happy Fall Y'all file. Then I wanted to put a puppy in the layout, so I used the cute puppy from the CK Sailor Doggie File.

I've been super obsessed with plaid for the last year. I think it all started when I was Christmas shopping for my Sister In Laws Christmas gift. She wanted a plaid blanket, so around then I just became obsessed with that plaid look. So for a while I had wanted the My Favorite things plaid background builder stamp, but I just couldn't bring myself to purchase it because it was pretty pricey to me. Then Simon Says Stamp had a Customer Appreciation coupon they put out for $10.00 off, so I hopped on their website and got that stamp set. The first time I used that stamp set was on the bears shirts to give them the plaid flannel look. I just loved it!! I think I'll be using it lots more in the future so keep an eye out for it.

I hope you enjoyed this Fall Layout as much as I did.  : )

Christmas Scrapbook Layout

Hey Deer Friends,

Good Evening, I hope you had a good week!! Did you get to see the Total Solar Eclipse on Monday?? I got to watch it in my front yard and oh it was so spectacular!! I happen to live in the town that had the longest duration of darkness. I had heard so many people talking about not taking pictures during the eclipse because it would ruin your camera so I didn't get any pics. : ( I wished I would have set it up and taken pics whenever it was dark. That diamond ring though was so beautiful!! : ) My town happens to be in the path for the next Total Solar Eclipse in 7 years, so maybe I can get some pics then.

To create this Christmas layout, I used a combination of files
Cutie Katoodles Christmas Dream Bears & Cutie Katoodles-Winter Hot Cocoa Bear from Kadoodle Bug Designs.

I have a Canon Camera and my sister thinks I'm a photographer, so a couple of Christmases ago she wanted me to take pictures of her family. She saw on Pinterest Christmas photos of some children tying up their parents with lights and putting some duck tape on their mouths. So I recreated that scene for her and she loved it. So for tonight's scrapbook layout I created that scene with some polar bears. I wanted it to look like they had tied up their parents with lights and duck taped their hands and mouths. I wanted a title for the top and I found this one and thought it went perfectly with what was going on in the photo.

I hope you enjoyed this Christmas layout. Come back next week for one more Scrapbook page.  : )

Kitty Cat Scrapbook Page

Hey Deer Friends,

Good Evening, I hope you had a great week!! I've been working on some scrapbook pages the last few days, so I'm excited to show you one of the pages I've been working on. Last September, I got a kitten and he is full of personality!! He doesn't like to drink from the water bowl,  he only drinks from the faucet. He's so playful and he makes the cutest little chirping noises. He has these plastic apple ornaments that he plays with and carries around by the strings. It's so cute watching him carry them around. So I figured I'd make a scrapbook page to put some pictures of him in.

To create this layout, I used a combination of files

I wanted the layout to boyish since my cat Bruno is a Boy. So I used shades of black, green, and Blue. I put some fish, yarn, and pawprints to give it the cat touch. To create the cat that is laying across the top of the photo mat I meshed two files together. I just used the Got Candy Cat and just added the leg from the dog in the Thank you Birthday Dogs file. I wanted another cat, so I added the Cutie Katoodles Black Cat at the top. To finish off the layout, I added a paw print to the bottom of the page. I'm going to use it journal, but I could also use it to cut a picture in that shape.

I hope you enjoyed this kitty layout. Come back next week for another Scrapbook page.  : )

Yesterday, kicked off one week of Christmas in July Hallmark Movies. I just love watching all the Hallmark Christmas shows. I always look forward to seeing all the new ones in November and December.  So I figured it'd be cool to make a Christmas themed card, so we can think about cooler weather. I'm ready for it to cool down a bit!! How about you?? For this card, I used the file
Cutie Katoodles Mrs Claus Bear from Kadoodle Bug Designs.

I decided to mix some different Christmas pattern papers for this card. The red one I got in a little 6x6 stack last Black Friday. And the white one with Holly on it I got at a yard sale last summer for a nickel. I thought it fit well with her holly on the hat.

Just Keep Spinning Card

Hey Deer Friends,

Good Evening, I hope you have all had a great 4th of July weekend with your family and friends!! Last weekend, we went to a family gathering we always do in the Summer. We eat and then the guys always shoot clay pigeons. Then, I got to see Fireworks on Monday and Tuesday night.

Last week, I created a fidget spinner card from the new Just Keep Spinning File from Kadoodle Bug Designs.  I had a few requests for a tutorial on how to make the fidget actually spin, so I made another card with a picture tutorial. If I still didn't explain it well feel free to message me and I'll see if I can walk thru an explanation with you. : ) For this card, I used the new file
Just Keep Spinning from Kadoodle Bug Designs.

I just loved how Melissa made the title to me it looked kind of like graffiti, so I wanted the background to look kind of like spray paint. So to create the background I embossed it first with a light color powder. And then I colored over the top of all the embossing parts with the Green Spectrum Noir Marker.

I put together the card base, title, the bear, and parts of the fidget spinner. In this picture above you will see the supplies I used to create the spinner part. I used thin glue dots, zig 2 way glue pen, red sticky tape, 2 pennies, 2 washers cut from paper and then a foam adhesive circle cut to a tiny size.

For the fidget spinner, there needs to be a hole in the middle. I used Cricut Design Space to slice the hole in the center and then I used the same black circles in the cut file and made them a little bit smaller so the fit right over the hole. You will need two of those paper "Washers." In the picture above I glued one of those washers on the front of the spinner and I glued the second washer on the back of the fidget spinner.

Here's a pic of the washer in the back. I also used a black marker around the inside edges of the holes so that the orange wasn't peaking thru.
In the pic above I used the glue dots. I put a glue dot on the back of a penny and then I stuck that penny on the card base. And then I put a glue dot on the back of the blue round part and then you will stick the penny to the back of that.
Now, the front of this spinner has the blue part and the penny is attached to just the blue circle part with the star. The penny is not glued down to the spinner it's just sitting in front of the spinner where its suppose to go. This picture you will see the foam adhesive is in the hole part. The adhesive part will stick to the penny that is just laying in the front. And that will attach the two pieces together by just that foam adhesive circle or a dimensional if you have it.

In this picture, I added some red sticky tape to the blue nonsticky side of my foam adhesive circle. Now, if you have a some Dimensionals that would probably be best because both sides are sticky. But if you don't have any like me, then you will want the red sticky tape to match the foam as closely as you can get it. After that you just place that sticky part of the fidget spinner to the penny that is already attached to the card. Then press Down. You might have to spin it a few times so that it gets used to spinning.

I hope I explained it clearly but if not please don't hesitate to ask any questions. : )

Below is a complete list of supplies and materials used to complete this project:
